We live in a world that is affected by constant changes that can have a negative impact on the environment and, consequently, in our lives. For this reason, Cases de Son Barbassa is aware of the importance of taking care of it and even being able to enjoy the benefits that rural tourism can offer us as an agrotourism, for example, through the elaboration of our own products.

THE PRODUCTS OF THE FARM

The main activities carried out in Cases de Son Barbassa are the cultivation of our own orchard, the elaboration of olive oil or the collection of almonds, which is subsequently used in our restaurant. However, we also do many other projects such as the famous "Sobrasada" or the "Herbes dolces" from Mallorca.

Cultivation of our orchard

In Cases de Son Barbassa we grow our own vegetables and fruit depending on the season of the year promoting quality products and km 0. Some of the products we work with are vegetables such as different varieties of tomatoes, lettuce, peppers and fruits like watermelons, strawberries, melons, pears, etc.

Elaboration Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Our extra virgin olive oil, produced from the olives harvested by hand on our estate, Cases de Son Barbassa, is the result of blending the varieties arbequina, mallorquina and picual, with the designation of origin Oli de Mallorca. Extra-virgin olive oil is a cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet and it is used in our restaurant for the preparation of all the dishes we serve.

Almond Collection

The harvesting of the almonds is done from the end of August until the beginning of October. This task is developed manually, always trying the best possible conditions to ensure the best quality of the fruits. In our restaurant, they are used as an aperitif, or through exquisite dishes prepared by our chef.
