Explore the environment and the culture that surrounds our rural hotel
The municipality of Capdepera and its surroundings offer a wide variety of cultural visits that you cannot miss, including the famous palace of the "Torre Cega".
The "Torre Cega" was a recreational villa of the famous March family in Cala Ratjada, desgned by the architect Guillem Reynés Font in 1915, it has a Modernist style that little by little became to the Regionalism and from that moment it has been considered a reference of the Majorcan style.
Of its construction, highlights the imposing staircase that makes the access to the house to disguise the unevenness of the land. This unevenness is the reason why this town receives the name of "Torre Cega" since it is not seen almost anywhere and at the same time it protects Cala Ratjada.
In the 1960s and 70s the gardens of this palace were improved and now it is one of the most beautiful parts of the house. For this reason, our country hotel of Son Barbassa recommends you to visit this beautiful fortress, which is held in high season on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10:30 - 12:00 and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 - 18:00 h with a price of € 4.50 per adult.
In addition, every summer the well-known "Serenates d'Estiu" takes place. The Serenades of the palace are nocturnal concerts that allow you to enjoy the gardens of the "Torre Cega" accompanied by the music of famous artists, thus offering one of the best evenings in the summer of Mallorca.
The following performances of the month of July are:
